Introduction
A spectacular panoramic view will amaze you right after you go through the entrance of “Ocean-facing Museum.” We have 2 zones in our permanent exhibit section; “A life in Onna” on ethnology and “A path of Onna” on the history. Surrounded by rich mountains and the ocean, people in Onna have lived together with the nature. Learn about our lives with traditional goods, videos, models and more. Our theater runs a film “An Island Guarded by Gods.” Watch the video for details on village events such as festivals and ceremonies. We also held special exhibitions a few times a year, in addition to museum classes and sunset concerts. Come and visit us to learn about our unique history and culture!
